Mike Retford (Principal Engineer)
Mike graduated in 1991 from Bath University with an MSc in Fluid Power Systems and has spent his career engineering fluid systems ever since. He then spent 6 years looking after hydraulic systems at British Steel, while gaining Chartered Mechanical Engineer status. Mike joined Commercial Hydraulics in 1997 as a project manager responsible for hydraulic test machines and other industrial systems; in 2000 Parker Hannifin bought out Commercial and Mike became manager of the industrial systems business. In 2007 Mike set up MGR Fluid Power, providing hydraulic services to the aerospace, defence and plastic injection moulding markets. Mike manages the business and provides in-depth hydraulic consultancy services.
Lisa Retford (Finance Manager)
Lisa has held various positions in banking and local government. Her previous position, for HSBC Bank, means that she is well placed to manage the finances of MGR Fluid Power.
Rob Allsop (Service Engineer)
Rob is a very capable Service Engineer having spent a number of years working with Hymid and Tidyco. Rob brings fault finding, system maintenance and installation skills to the MGR business.
